North Dakota Department of Transportation has funding available to support the development of electric vehicle DC fast charging stations in 16 communities across the state. These locations will contribute to a statewide network of convenient, accessible, reliable, and equitable charging locations. This funding is in addition to the build out happening now along Interstates 94 and 29 under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Applications are due December 16, 2024.
$1.2 million is available for the acquisition, design, and construction of EV charging sites. This program will fund up to 50% of project costs. Each location will have a minimum of two 150kW direct current fast charging (DCFC) ports and are encouraged to offer at least four ports.

- Coleharbor
- Bowman
- Linton
- Ellendale
- Wahpeton
- Grafton
- Devils Lake
- Petersburg
- Carrington
- Harvey
