Pollutants: Chloroform

Chloroform is a very volatile, colorless liquid. It may be released into the air from a variety of sources including evaporation from water and soil, releases from hazardous waste sites and sanitary landfills, and evaporation from tap water while showering. Health effects include central nervous system depression, dizziness, headaches, tiredness, and liver conditions such as hepatitis and jaundice.
