Pollutants: Acrolein

Acrolein is a white or yellow liquid that burns easily. It is formed by the breakdown of certain pollutants found in outdoor air, from burning gasoline, or tobacco use. Acrolein is highly toxic to humans. Health effects include eye irritation and upper respiratory tract irritation and congestion.
